Media uses stereotypes to portray the British so it is easy to understand for the audience, there is no middle ground, its either posh or not.
These stereotypes are untrue as is any other stereotype
2. Stereotypes and their effect in real life, stereotypes help the audience understand the message behind the characters
Makes people caution of English football fans
British males may feel as though they have to be a football fan

This starts well Yousuf and the first section seems solid enough but then falls off. Are you focusing upon specific media texts? I think you should be. So far your evidence seems to be to argue about British stereotypes and so it is supporting evidence rather than primary evidence. I do think it needs to be clearer which products you are using as primary products.
ReplyDeleteAlso, be cautious in your use of language. "Posh" and "stuck-up" might be suitable for general chit-chat but in an A level essay, they don't really seem appropriate. You're going to have to moderate your terminology so that it's appropriate for the purpose of your writing.
I'm also not sure that the large number of viewers for the Royal Wedding provides much evidence of British masculinity!!!
Still a few gaps in your planning Yousuf which I think you need to address before you commence your essay.
